Privacy Policy & POPIA

Last reviewed: 28 October 2026

1. Who this policy covers

International Trade Solutions ("we", "us" or "our") respects the privacy of people who visit this website and contact us about products, sourcing, business partnerships or distribution. This policy explains what personal information may be collected and how it may be used. The Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) may apply to relevant processing in South Africa.

2. Information we may collect

When you complete our enquiry form, you may provide your name, company name, email address, phone number, enquiry category and the information in your message. Website hosting services may also process limited technical information such as IP addresses, browser identifiers, request timestamps and security logs to deliver and secure the website.

3. Why we use it

  • To receive, evaluate and respond to your enquiries.
  • To discuss potential sourcing, supply, partnership or distribution arrangements.
  • To administer, protect and troubleshoot the website.
  • To meet applicable legal or recordkeeping obligations.

We do not use the enquiry form as an automatic subscription to promotional communications.

4. Lawful grounds and your choices

Personal information should only be processed on a basis permitted by applicable law, which may include your consent, taking steps at your request before entering an agreement, fulfilling an agreement or a legitimate interest where legally applicable. You can choose not to submit optional form details. Required fields are needed to respond meaningfully.

5. Cookies, tracking and fonts

This version of the website uses local browser storage only to remember acknowledgement of the privacy notice. No analytics pixels, advertising trackers or visitor profiling scripts are installed in this build. The optional Google Fonts stylesheet may cause your browser to connect to Google's font servers, which can receive standard technical request data. If analytics or additional cookies are introduced later, this policy and the consent experience must be updated before activation.

6. Who information may be shared with

Personal information may be handled by website hosting or form-submission processors and, where necessary for a specific enquiry, suitable business service providers under appropriate arrangements. We do not sell enquiry details. The site currently includes Netlify-compatible form markup; the actual processing provider depends on the hosting configuration used at launch.

7. International transfers

Some technical providers or potential trade partners may operate outside South Africa. Any transfers of personal information should take place in accordance with POPIA and other applicable requirements, with appropriate safeguards where needed.

8. Security and retention

We aim to use reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect information. No digital system is completely risk-free. Information should be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, required business records or legal obligations, then securely deleted or de-identified as appropriate. Exact periods must be confirmed before publication.

9. Your rights under POPIA

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you, request access, ask for correction or deletion, object to processing and raise a complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator. Some rights are subject to lawful limitations.

10. How to contact us

For privacy-related questions or requests, use our Contact Us form and indicate "Privacy request" in your message. An appointed Information Officer's direct contact details and the registered business contact address should be added to this policy before it is published as the final legal notice.

11. External websites

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. Their content and privacy practices are governed by their own notices.

12. Updates

We may revise this policy as the website, services, legal requirements or data-processing practices change. The review date above will be updated when significant changes are made.
